Daniela Mendes

Daniela Mendes was born in a small town outside Lisbon in Portugal. At the age of 9, her parents decided to move to the United States and create a new life. Since 1991 she has lived in Westchester County with her parents and brother. She has recently graduated from Pace University with a Bachelors in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing administration. Daniela has experiment with careers in law, real estate, retail, and management, none of which gave her as much satisfaction as Pilates. After graduating, Daniela was set out to find herself and she stumbled upon Fiore Pilates. Her management skills were essential to the studio as Pilates quickly became popular in the community. Daniela had then begun doing Pilates almost everyday and fell in love with it. After experiencing the business, she decided to get her certification with Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates protege. Daniela is pleased to be teaching with Tracy at Fiore Pilates and is so grateful to have finally found something she loves. She will share her knowledge and appreciation with people who want to live a healthier lifestyle.

Paige Pollock Ropiak

Paige Pollock Ropiak was born and raised in Florida where she spent the first 18 years of her life dancing, acting and singing. In 1998 Paige moved to Columbus, Ohio and began her dance degree at Ohio State University, which is ranked among the top modern programs in the country. After 4 years of training and performing, she earned her BFA in dance in 2002. Shortly after, she moved to New York City to begin her dance career. Having been exposed to Pilates in dance classes, dance workshops, and dance festivals, Paige began training privately. Her love for the movement quickly grew, and in 2003 she began training in authentic Pilates under the supervision of Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates` very own disciple. After completing 600 hours of training, Paige is now an Authentically Certified Instructor. Although still living in New York City, Paige is thrilled to be working with Tracy (a former dance colleague) and working in Westchester County, where her fathers family resides.

Sharon Colangelo

Sharon Colangelo was born in Boston and raised in Suburbia. Sharon was introduced to dance when she was about 10, and has been following its lead ever since. This passion, along with her pursuit of higher education and an affinity for city life, brought Sharon to NYC where she found herself enrolled in New York University. Four years later, she was released into the world, equipped with a well-deserved (and very expensive!) degree in Dance Education, and an all-consuming, new-found appreciation for the art of modern dance. Sharon later studied her craft at the Ailey School and Dance Space Center, and performed the work of talented choreographers including Earl Mosley and Jaclyn Moynahan (JaxDance). She was certified in the authentic Pilates method under the unofficial queen herself, Romana Kryzanowska. She is pleased and honored every chance she is given to share her interest in human movement and physical potential with others.

Donna Pollack

I am a true city kid, raised and schooled in Manhattan. As a matter of fact, I met my husband, Conrad, when we were both in 8th grade at private school (we did wait till we were older to marry!!!) I arrived in Harrison about 10 years ago with 2 babies, a jeep and no drivers license (thank you Formula One Driving School!) and in complete confusion about how to survive without a doorman. It took a while, but I have finally found my way around Westchester and discovered all the drycleaners, drug stores and restaurants that deliver!!!!! oh, and by the way, besides the kids we now have 2 dogs, a cat, a tortoise and a recently deceased crawfish (from my son's science class) named Boullabaise. I spent the 1st 6 years of my fashion career in lingerie (selling it, not wearing it) and followed that up with Sales Manager positions at Swatch Watch, Charles Jourdan Shoes, L.A. Gear, and HUE and Calvin Klein Hosiery. The Fashion Industry back in the 1980's and 90's was exciting - filled with parties and trade shows and travel and I loved it. After my daughter Madison and son Austin were born, however, I decided to devote my time to them instead, a choice I am happy I made. Some years ago, after various injuries that I attribute to a combination of weight lifting at the gym and kickboxing class, I started taking sessions at a nearby Pilates studio and instantly fell in love. I felt energized both mentally and physically and lost the "baby fat" that had settled on my waist and stomach. It was my original teacher who planted the idea in my head that I should advance myself and learn to teach Pilates and I jumped at the chance. I was fortunate to have been accepted by Romana's Pilates in NYC as she is a direct disciple of Joseph Pilates and teaches the true, original method. The fact that she is 83 and bounces around like a kid further inspired me and I am proud to be of her students. Although I enjoy teaching in the city, I am ecstatic to have joined Fiore - it is a gem of a studio with fabulous teachers and great clients and only 10 minutes away . . . It is a pleasure to be here as part of the "family"!

Kathy Wolfe

Kathy Wolfe grew up in Larchmont, attended Mamaroneck High School (not recently) and is delighted to return to her favorite town to teach at Fiore Pilates. After a long career as an arts administrator with a focus on dance, she began to study Pilates and became convinced that the method provides lifelong body conditioning and health benefits. Kathys experience in the arts included many years as Executive Director of the Dance in Education Fund/Steffi Nossen School followed by work in marketing and development at Purchase College Performing Arts Center and at the Purchase Conservatory of Dance. For the past seven years, Kathy has been teaching Pilates full time in the Westchester area. She received her teaching certification in 1999 under the direction of master teachers Romana Kryzanowska and Bob Liekens. Kathys greatest claim to fame is that she had the pleasure of teaching Pilates to Tracy Fiore while Tracy was preparing to enter the teacher-training program in New York City. Needless to say, Tracy was a stellar student!

Barbara Schiff

Barbara Schiff has lived in Westchester since 1989. Her focus since graduate school has been on the body. She holds a Masters degree Columbia University in Speech Pathology. She worked as a speech pathologist with a specialty in neurodevelopmental treatment with infants and toddlers. She lectured around the country and had a private practice. Barbara has been a student of Pilates since 1999. She is certified through the Power Pilates organization and is member in good standing of the Pilates Method Alliance organization. Barbara interests are varied from golf, ballroom dancing to the theater, movies and her friends and family.

Tracy Augustine

Tracy Augustine is a native of Larchmont and currently resides in Mamaroneck. She was first introduced to The Pilates Method in 1999 while attending SUNY at Albany, where she studied philosophy and sociology. After returning to Westchester, Tracy continued to practice The Pilates Method studying different training techniques and teaching philosophies. Tracy was certified through the Stott Pilates program and in 2003, she furthered her education in the authentic/classical method. She is excited to be a part of Fiore Pilates and is grateful for the opportunity to work with and learn from this talented team. Outside of the studio, Tracy enjoys reading, swimming, and scuba diving.

Claudia King

Claudia King joined Fiore Pilates this past Fall. Prior to becoming a teacher, she worked in human resources for a hedge fund for many years. It was during her career at the hedge fund when she discovered Pilates. Claudia had always had an interest in staying healthy in mind, body and spirit and a love for movement. She took many years of dance through her late teens and spent years practicing yoga as well, but it was Pilates that seemed to make the most significant impact. The precision and grace of the work had a real connection for her. So after four years of taking lessons and learning a lot about the method, she decided to go through the training to become a teacher. Claudia was certified last year by Romana’s Pilates in New York City and is very happy to be working at Fiore Pilates with such a wonderful, supportive group of teachers and great clients.

Maritza Olivia

Maritza Olivia resides in Harrison with her husband, four children, 2 dogs and last but not least her mom. She was born, raised and schooled in the Bronx. After High School she went to Westchester Community College and Iona College. Maritza was involved in health and fitness for many years. Her training originated with bodybuilding. After years of difficult training, she suffered a back injury that resulted in surgery. Maritza started using Pilates as a challenging and therapeutic form of exercise. She trained for years at Fiore Pilates and discovered her desire to help others obtain their fitness goals. Maritza decided to become a certified Pilates instructor. She successfully completed over 700 apprentice hours, with Tracy’s help and support. Maritza is now a Pilates Method Alliance Certified Instructor.
